This member’s only workshop will cover how to apply gold luster onto already glaze fired pieces. We will be applying the luster outdoors for ventilation purposes. Luster firing is included in the workshop cost. Each member will be given the following to keep during this workshop:
Western Gold Luster Bottle (2g)
Liner Brush for application
Members should bring:
5-7 already glaze fired pieces that are small to medium in size, we are unable to accommodate large or extra tall pieces in this firing (luster looks best on glossy pieces)
N95 mask
All other supplies are provided
Your gold luster bottle can be kept for future luster firings in the studio. Future luster firings will be at a discounted firing rate if you have already received a bottle from us. Unfortunately we are unable to provide the discounted firing rate unless you received a bottle from us as different brands of luster require different firing temperatures.
Workshop fees cover instructed class time, use of tools and equipment, personal bottle of gold luster, application brush, luster firing and cleaning supplies
To cancel a class, please email us and request cancellation. The cancellation request must be received two weeks prior to class start. If the cancellation request is received two weeks prior to the start of the class, a refund (minus $20 processing fee) will be granted. We are unable to accommodate cancellation requests received less than two weeks prior to class start.
No make up classes are available. Please review our class meeting schedule to ensure you are able to attend all classes.
