Workshop Overview: Porcelain Throwing and Altered Forms
Instructor: Yoo Sung
Duration: 2 Days, Monday, October 5 - Tuesday, October 6, 10AM-4PM
Prerequisite: Participants must be able to throw even-walled cylinders using at least 2 lbs of clay. No porcelain experience is required.

Curriculum
Join Yoo Sung for a two-day intensive workshop focused on porcelain wheel-throwing and the transformation of forms through alteration. He will guide participants through his design methodology, emphasizing the creation of fluid, organic forms.
This workshop will cover:
Fundamental techniques for working with porcelain on the wheel
His approach to altering and refining ceramic vessels
Strategies for creating dynamic altered forms
Included in this workshop:
2 days of instruction - total 12 hours (6 hours per day)
Live Korean to English translation during demonstration and instruction
1x 25 lb bag of Laguna Frost Porcelain (additional clay may be purchased)
Glazes and firing for pieces made in the class
Class Policies
To cancel this class, please email us to request cancellation. Due to the extensive planning that is involved in hosting an international artist, the cancellation request must be received at least one month prior to workshop start. If the cancellation request is received one month prior to the start of the workshop, a refund (minus $20 processing fee) will be granted. We are unable to accommodate cancellation requests received less than one month prior to workshop start unless a replacement is found.
If you are unable to make the class and are unable to receive a refund, you may transfer your spot to a friend or family member, please email to transfer.
No make up classes are available if you miss a session.
Any items left behind 15 days after the final class meeting may be discarded. Reasonable attempts will be made to contact you for pickup prior to staff discarding said items.
No open studio hours are included in this workshop.
Classes are subject to change if the minimum student quota isn't met (14 students).
